How much does it cost?
Installing One-Button Speed Dial
To install One-Button Speed Dial, simply download the installable program from the website. The installable program is a self-extracting
zip file that will automatically start the install process when it is executed. The installation is very straight forward. Simply follow the prompts
that show up after you start the install program.
Associate One-Button Speed Dial to a Hardware Button
While it is not required, it is recommended that you associate One-Button Speed Dial to one of your configurable hardware buttons.
If you do this, you can simply press the correct hardware button repeatedly until the desired entry appears. When the entry appears,
simply wait a few seconds and the number will be dialed. If you choose not to associate One-Button Speed Dial to one of your hardware
buttons, you will have to invoke it using the stylist. Once the program starts, you can use the up/down arrows on your device to
navigate to the correct number and it will be dialed after three seconds. Please refer to Microsoft's Pocket PC documentation for
information on how to associate applications to hardware buttons.
Configure Speed Dial Numbers
One-Button Speed Dial uses the contacts that are stored in your Pocket PC device. To cause one of your contact telephone numbers
to be available in One-Button Speed Dial simply add a forward slash followed by the letter q to the end of any telephone number stored
in your contacts. For example, John Doe's work telephone number would appear in your contacts as "(555)555-5555 /q". This will
not interfere when you dial this phone number using your regular phone dialing capability on your Pocket PC Phone. The trial addition
will only let you configure up to 6 numbers for dialing. The full version supports 25.
Control the Order of Speed Dial Numbers
By default, One-Button Speed Dial presents the telephone numbers in the order they are stored in the directory. If you wish to change
this order you can by specifying a number after the letter q above. For example: "(555)555-5555 /q01" and "(444)444-4444 /q02".
The second phone number would be presented after the first.
Make a Phone Call
If you have chosen to associate One-Button Speed Dial to one of your hardware buttons, you can simply press the hardware button repeatedly
until the desired entry appears.
To prevent One-Button Speed Dial from making a phone call simply press
the hardware button or the down arrow until the home screen appears. At this point, you can press the "Exit" button to exit the dialer or start
through the list again.
